レビューを書いている今は、2006年6月11日。
本書には、加純ちゃんが生み出した詩が直筆のまま載っている。
詩の終わりに、日時と名前が記されているのが印象的だ。

その中のひとつが、たまたま3年前の6月11日のものだったので、
そのページに目が釘付けになってしまった。

それは、たどたどしく綴られた22文字。

たったこれだけだ。
しかし、これだけで充分だった。

彼女については、本の紹介文以上のことは知りませんが、
脳腫瘍という逆らえない運命の中で、生きぬいたという事実そのものが、
たった数行の文からでも、溢れ出て胸に迫ってくるからです。

誤解を恐れずに言うと、この手の本はあまり出て欲しくない。
もし、これがTV ドラマや漫画のような架空の世界の死であったら
どんなに、気が楽かと思うのだ。

本書に出会ってしまったからには、今以上に命の重み受け止めて、
生きていかねばならない。

心して買いました。そして読みました。

ただ、重たい岩を抱きかかえたような気がします。
私も二人の子供の親として、そして一人の人間として、何を想って
生きなければいけないか？大変な問いを、そして一番大切な問いを
もらいました。

二冊買いました。二人の子供にそれぞれ与えるためです。
人間の「いのち」は、皆どこかでつながっている、という恩師の言葉が
思い出されました。

一本一本のいろえんぴつの線。必死で書いたひとつひとつの文字。
全てが読むものに迫ってくる想いがします。

星をつけるのが非常につらい一冊でした。星などつけられない。
人の命を、加純さんの命を星などであらわせたくない。そんな想いです。
いい年をしてと思いつつも、いい年になったからこそ、生きることのつらさ、苦しさが
分り、そしてそれだからこそ、生きていることが何よりも大事だということを、
分らせてくれた本です。

加純さん　きっと「あなたのいのち」が誰かの「いのち」とつながっていると思います。
だから･･･あなたはまだ生きているんだよ･･･そう思いたい、そう願いたい「命（ほん）」です。

あれから、何度か読み返しました。そしてそのたびに･･･。
ごめんね。あなたの「おとん」と「おかん」は、一生懸命がんばっているのにね。
それなのに、全く関係のない「おじん」が泣き言を言っています。
加純さん、あなたの数万分の一でも強い心を持ちたいと思っています。

私の家横のアパートに住む女の子が、主人公と同じ脳腫瘍になり、先日なくなりました。この本の存在を知り、また他の方のレビューを参考にして購入しました。実際になくなった女の子を知っているだけに、とてもリアリティがあって悲しかったですが、脳腫瘍という難病を知る上でも、「生きている、普通に暮らしているという幸せ」だと感じていない人たちのためにも、ぜひ読んで戴きたいです。
