きりつけられたような、感じがしました。
いろいろな人の想いと、言葉に。
巧の一球に対する想いだったり、豪の「誰にも渡さない」という言葉だったり、
瑞垣のトラウマみたいな執着や、門脇の言葉にしなかった想い、海音寺や吉貞、磯部達の想いに。
心臓をきりつけられたような感じがしました。
きっといつまでも疼いて、読んでる最中の痛みや、
読み終わった後の痺れる感じは、忘れることはないだろうと思います。
薄れることはあっても、消えない感覚として胸に残って欲しい。
そう思わせてくれる本に出会えて、本当に良かった。
痛みや葛藤を含んで、未昇華なまま終わったけれど、
それでも彼らは自分の道を歩み続けるのだろうと思います。
穏やかではないけど、終わってしまって寂しい気持ちもあるけど、
それでも落ち着いて最後を迎えられて、良かったです。
しばらくは、余韻が続くんだろうな。
それもまた、素敵なことだと思います。ずくずくするけど。
最後に、あさの先生、今まで本当にありがとうございました。
バッテリーに出会えたことを、心から感謝します。

大切に大切に６冊読みました。
第６巻、「ああ、これで終わってしまうのか・・・」と寂しい気持ちで読み始め、読後「彼らの成長に立ち会えてよかった！！」と充実感を感じました。
６巻通してたった1年間の物語ですが、人物の心の動きだけではなく季節の移ろいなどが丁寧に描かれ、まるで自分も岡山県新田市の住人であるかのように感じられるほどでした。

物語りももちろん良いのですが、佐藤真紀子さんの挿絵もとても良いです。
文庫も出ていますが、最初に読むのは画付きのこちらをお勧めします。

バッテリー最終巻です。
今まで続巻が楽しみで楽しみでしかたがなかったのに
いざこれが最後となると、少しでも終わりになるのを長引かせたくて
1ページ1ページをゆっくりじっくり読みました。

たぶん、こういう終わり方になるのだろうと予想はしていたけれど
主人公の巧や豪やその他すべての少年たちの現在を凝縮したような
未来を感じさせるような、そんなラスト。
読み終わった後、まだまだこの続きが読みたいような
ここから先は読者の想像に委ねられていると感じるような
そんな余韻が残ります。

中学時代が遥か昔の、大人になった今でも
ここまで胸を熱くさせてくれるこのシリーズに、登場する少年たちに出会えたことを感謝しています。
ここまで深く鮮やかに彼らを描き出してくれた作者にも大きな感謝を。
