初めてCSSを学ぼうとしてこの本を購入しましたが、内容が最悪です。
何が最悪かというと、まず誤植が多い。重要な箇所で誤植があり、読んでいくうちにプロパティなどを間違って憶えていくのではないかという不安になり、途中で読めなくなります。
さらに、擬似要素などの説明が適当です。具体的には擬似要素のプロパティの使い方とその値の説明がなく、お手上げ状態です。
自分は１/３くらい読んで、この本を諦めました。

CSSの重要性はもう分かっています。CSS無しにはWEBサイトはあり得ません！
でも、コレを読むと難しすぎてどんどん分からなくなっていきます。
CSSが分かるようになってきて久しぶりにコレを読むと、なんて難しい内用なんだと。簡単な内用もでも難しく解説され、CSS実際の使い方は適当な説明で終わるので利用の仕方がわからない。
昔コレを読んでがんばろうとした自分の時間がもったいない。

本当にCSSに詳しい人でないとついていけません。今読んでもよくわからない。
そして、コレが分かるくらいCSSに詳しい人はコレを読む必要が無いでしょう。

プログラミングが得意でWEBもやってみようかな？という人にはいいかも知れませんが。初心者には絶対オススメできない！

どのCSS参考書を読んでも同じことしか書いていないので、ここ一年くらい新しいCSSの参考書を買うことはなかったけど、この本は、他の参考書では触れられていない内容が盛りだくさんでした。
CSSをさらに極めたい上級者向きの本だと思います。
