この本の著者はプロの修理技術者ではないので、内容の信頼度は100%ではありませんが、手順の説明は非常に丁寧です。おそらく今まで出版されたどの修理入門書よりも判りやすいと思います。分解マニアには物足らないかもしれませんが、初心者には非常にとっつきやすいでしょう。また、各機種の解説もなかなか面白い文章だと思います（かなりアクが強いので、好き嫌いは別れるかもしれませんが）。なお、続編の『ジャンクカメラの分解と組み立てにもっと挑戦！』では、PENTAX MXやNikon FM10を扱っています。

父から譲ってもらったOM-1について載っているかな？と表紙を見ながら注文しました。まさに、父のOM-1のプリズム腐食についてズバリのっており、これで自分で直すことでますますカメラに愛着がわきそうです。
単純なHOW-TO本ではなく、カメラの背景なども記載されており、日本のクラシックカメラを勉強する入門書にもなりそうです。

カメラの修理に興味をもち、いろいろな分解修理の雑誌を購入しましたが、
この雑誌はまず、簡単なトイカメラの小手調べからはじまり、
Pentax、COSINA、Sigma、CANON　などのボディーやレンズの修理分解組み立ての流れが、注意点などと共に詳しく解説されています。
レンズの掃除程度はなんとかなりましたが、ボディー（シャッターユニットや配線など）に挑戦するのはちょっと敷居が高いです。
それでもやってみたい！　という人は 解説に出てくる同じボディーと最低限の工具をそろえて挑戦してみてください。決して　「同じメーカーだからこれでいいや！」　とか安易な気持ちは禁物です。
