教科書で教わる星の運行や星座は天球上を「球面に添って平面的に」動いているような図で教わりました。星によってそれぞれ何光年か距離が違うのに、今まで全然不思議に思わなかったです。

だからこの本を見て、圧倒されました。星々には皆それぞれの距離があり、たまたま肉眼で星々に線を引き人工的につくったものが「星座」であるとわかり、げんこつで頭を殴られた位ショックでした。

いやがおうにも天体に興味がわいてくる本です。今度は星座早見表を使って夜の空を見ようかな、と思いました。
人間って、本当に小さいなあ。

どんなにきれいな星空を見に行っても、天文台の写真を見ても宇宙の奥行きを実感することはありません。しかし、この本の美しい星座写真を3Dで見ることにより、宇宙の広がりが体験でき、また星座が等距離にある星を結んだのではなく、遠くの星、近くの星が
むすばれ、複雑な形をしていることがわかり新鮮な感覚を覚えました。
アンドロメダ大星雲のように我々の銀河系の外の星雲が星々の向うに見えるのも感動します。
付属されているレンズを通すことにより非常に簡単に３Dが体験できるのもよかったです。
