タイトル通りたくさんの乗り物が登場してきます。今乗り物に興味津々の息子は食事中でもこの本を見つけると、本を開けるように催促してきます。中でも終わりの方のページに、それまでに登場してきた乗り物が全員集合するページがあって、そのページに息子は釘付けです。男の子だけでなく、女の子が見ても優しい感じのタッチの乗り物の絵です。

とにかく子供が大好きな本です。
毎日何回も開いて指を指しながら、あー！あー！と声をだしながら読んでます。ほかの柳原さんの本も大好きです。とにかく子供が大好きな本なんです。

娘のお友達の家にもっていったときにも、お友達も、大変気に入ったようでとりっこに。もちろん、その後、彼女にもプレゼントしましたが、彼女も手放さないようです。独特な線とまんまるおめめが子供が好きなのかなと思います。

1歳半の息子が毎日、日に何度もページをめくっては「ぱぷーんぱぷーん」と読んでおります。他の乗り物の絵本もじきにそのように声をだして読むようになりました。彼が声をだして読むのは、とても気にいっている印です。柳原さんの絵本は、今まで乗り物には関心がなかった息子の心をとらえて、乗り物に興味を持つきっかけを作ってくれました。
