日本を代表する100つのレシピがそれぞれ日本語と英語で紹介され、海外の人達に日本料理を説明するのに大いに役立つ1冊。レシピだけでなく料理がどのようなものであるか？ すべてカラー写真で掲載されているので目で見ても楽しめる。

私は留学先にこの本を持っていきました。（そして現地の人にあげてきました。）日本人の寿命の長さは料理が原因に違いないと思う外国人も多いようで、この本に書かれている日本料理には興味深深、話もはずんでいきました。

料理の見本としてカラー写真があり（これで寿司の説明も簡単）、炊飯器いらずのご飯の炊き方や、食材の切り方の名前など詳しく日英併記で書かれています。普通の料理本としても楽しいと思います。
