よくある料理紹介本かと思って手にしたら、ところがどっこい。非常にオタク的に料理の材料の紹介に始まり、作り方も詳細な全カラー写真が公開されている。エビのチリソース煮とかエビとブロッコリーの沙茶醤炒めとか中華が中心。世の中では『簡単！』とか『素早く！』とか『手軽に！』という作り方が席巻しているが、たまにはこうやって手抜きをしないで、妥協せず、料理をしっかり作りたいものだと思った。また、日ごろ仕事が忙しいことを言い訳にして、レトルトやできあい的なものが多い我が家のことを振り返ると、この本で紹介されている料理は作りたい！と思われるものばかりで、早速材料の沙茶醤を購入。
