第２言語習得研究を学んでいる人にもおすすめだと思います。SLA分野に関しては、山岡先生や金子先生なども書かれています。図書館でみてこれは「読む辞書」だと思い、購入を決意しました。持っていて、損はないと思います。院生には基礎知識を付ける上でもいいかもしれません。

私自身とても悩みました。決して安くない金額だと思います。でもこの本一冊に応用言語学に必要な全ての基本的な知識が詰め込まれています。私は語用論について研究したくて購入しましたがこの一冊で十分基本的なことは得られたました。また自ずと参考文献も豊富なので応用言語学についてこれから研究される方がはじめに読んでおくといい文献だと思います。
