5.0 out of 5 stars 特にWEBデザインをする際に有効かもしれません, 2005/7/24
この本は世界中の配色の特徴をCMYK表示でわかりやすく説明してあり、デザイン全般において非常に参考になります。この色とこの色の組み合わせでこんな感じ、というのが一発でわかり、プレゼンに大活躍するのではないでしょうか。また、WEBのデザインをする際にも、こうしたらヨーロッパ風の落ち着いたイメージにページがまとまる、等の参考にしやすいと思います。海外の美術館や博物館のディスプレイを見ると、こうした配色が活用され、全体に統一感があり、非常に見る人に優しい、親切なディスプレイだと感じますが、この本を参考にすればWEBのみならず、装丁やエディトリアル、その他もろもろのレベルアップが図れる一冊だと思います。

~グラフィック・デザイナーはもちろん、カラーコーディネーター、イラストレーターにも役立つ一冊。著者が世界中を駆け回って集めたデザインやイラストを色見本（CMYK）でわかりやすく構成してある。プロじゃなくても、見ているだけで楽しい本だ。訳文も割とスムーズに読める。アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、北／東ヨーロッパ、アフリカ、アジア、ラテンアメリカ、中東~~、大洋の島々の色からからなる。ただ、日本人の私としては、もう少し日本のページが多くあったら嬉しかったが、著者も詫びている通り紙面を削らざる得なかったことは仕方ない。が、自分の知らなかったセンスがいっぱい詰まった本書は見応えがある。~
