とても実用的で役に立つ本である。　ただし学生や研修医が読んでも実感に乏しいかもしれない。　慢性蕁麻疹の患者に高価な特異的IgE抗体検査を行うのは無駄である（でもレセプトでは認可されている！）など目からウロコの情報が沢山記載されている。　小児科医だけでなく耳鼻科・皮膚科・内科・公衆衛生の医師も読むべきである。　ただ喘息で吸入療法が内服療法に勝るのは勿論だがスペーサーやマスクを用いてもうまく吸入できない乳児も多いので内服療法についての記載も欲しかった。　あと食物アレルギーの除去食と代替食についての記載が少ないのがちょっと残念である。
