10周忌を迎えた淀川長治先生が生前に映画雑誌“SCREEN”で長年連載した半生記。


著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

淀川 長治
明治42年(1909年)神戸市に生まれ、兵庫県立第三神戸中学校(旧制)を卒業。昭和4年「映画世界」社に入社し編集者を経て、映画配給会社ユナイテッド・アーチスツの大阪支社、東京支社に勤務。戦後は23年(1948年)から「映画の友」編集長に。昭和35年(1960年)からアメリカのテレビ・シリーズ「ララミー牧場」の解説を務め、昭和41年(1966年)からテレビ朝日(当時NET)「日曜洋画劇場」の解説を担当して日本中の人気者に。また“友の会”を主催して映画の普及に力を注いだ。平成10(1998年)11月11日没。享年89歳(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
