本書は、アイフルの不動産担保ローン部に勤務されていた方です。

タイトルはセンセーショナルに「激白」と打たれていますが、内容は、消費者金融機関の実態を貸手側から冷静に解説していて、個別の事例をおもしろおかしく取り上げているだけというものではありません。

連帯保証人と保証人の違いなどお金を借りる人が知っておくべき常識レベルの知識も得られます。

住宅ローンとは桁違いに高い金利で、一般人には一見無縁に思える消費者金融機関がテーマですが、お金の貸手側を知るという意味で有益な一冊です。

　「アイフルだけがなぜねらわれたのか。」「営業停止においやられたのか。」を多面的な角度から分析している。興味深く読み終えた。
　消費者金融＝サラ金＝キツイ取りたて、法外な利子＝悪というイメージが定着し、人々は警戒心をもっているが、実はそれ以上に危険なシステムの存在が、ごく自然に私達のまわりにあふれていることをこの本は警告している。すなわち銀行、クレジット会社もなんら消費者金融と変わらない、同類なのだと。
　社会人のルールブックとして１冊持っていたい本である。

アイフルの営業停止、その処分が報道された際、「貸しすぎ」「儲け過ぎ」に批判的な論調が多く、処分の妥当性に関して客観的に分析したものは少なかったように思います。

大手金融機関が、消費者金融と提携して個人向け小口融資を拡大していること。都銀２行もアイフルと提携。その他金融機関を加えればアイフルの提携先は８２（！）。

著者は確かにアイフルが起こした不祥事は明らかに「違法行為」、処分はあってしかるべきだが、なぜこの程度の不法行為で全店営業停止に追い込まれたのか？・・・という最近の「サラ金」叩きの背景に迫ります。上述の銀行の個人向け融資の拡大や借り手側の事情。

「サラ金」＝悪、という単純な図式だけでは割り切れない事情を解説した事情通本。
