大切な人からプレセントで送られ、受け取ったその晩に一気に読み終えました。
時間の経つのも忘れて本を読んだのは久しぶりでした。
文章も読みやすく、子供の視線からの表現がとても優しいものでした。
読後感は暖かな感覚と、自分の浅ましさを恥じる冷たい感覚が混ざった気持ちに包まれました。

この本を贈ってくれた大切な人に本当に心から感謝しています。

この人も体が丈夫ではない人なので心配です。お元気なのでしょうか。
この場を借りて本と本を送ってくださったその気持ちにお礼を伝えます。
ありがとう。

韓国の人は家族の絆が深い・・とよくききますが、この本では本当にお互いを必要として生きている父と子の、愛情という言葉だけでは表現できない「情」が書かれています。文章自体は最近の日本の小説にはないような極々シンプルでストレートな表現なのですが、だからこそリアルできれい事でない闘病の苦しみが表現されている気がします。解説には、日本と同じように韓国も家族崩壊が問題になっている・・と書かれています。親子の絆・無償に愛という言葉が風化されつつある今、小さい頃手を握って歩いた父親の姿や気持ちを思って素直に泣いてみるのもいいのではないでしょうか。第６章以降は決して夜寝る前に読んではいけませんよ。翌朝絶対に！目がパンパンです。（笑）

また父親の立場、母親の立場からでなく１人の人間として読むべき。
泣いたからいいとか泣けなかったから悪いとかでもない。
この本を読み終えたときに自分が生きている事、愛している人が
隣で笑ってくれている事に感謝したい。
