　表紙の印象からもっと暗くて重い内容を想像していたのですが、決してそんなことはありませんでした。最初は「英語が平易で読みやすい本だな、高校生に紹介できそうだな」というぐらいの気持ちで読み進めていたのですが、途中からは物語にひきこまれて、まるで喉がどうしようもなく渇いたときにペットボトルの中身を飲み干すような感じで、2日間で最後まで読み終えてしまいました。
　この本を10代の子だけが読むなんて全くもったいない。20代以上の大人で、英語を勉強しながら、「何かやらなければ！」と日々悩み、道を模索している人にこそ読んでもらいたいと思います。なぜなら、この物語ではThe Stolenというタイトル通り、「若さ」が盗まれ、不当に老いてしまうというテーマを扱っているからです。これって、フィクションだからありえることではなく、子供から大人になるときに、誰しも少しは感じる「虚しさ」のようなものに通じるのではないでしょうか。

　私はこの物語を読んで、ただ老いることがとても怖くなりました。それぐらい老いの描写が身に迫ってくるのです。しかし老いること、年を重ねること自体が悪いことなのではないし、幸いにも私は盗まれずに毎年人生を更新していけるわけです。20代には20代なりに、30代には30代なりに、やりたいことを見つけてがんばっていきたいな、うまく年輪を重ねていきたいな、と思いました。英語も本当に平易なので、電車の中で読んでも辞書いらずで手軽です。夢中で一冊読了すれば、自信もつきます。軽く、背中を押してくれる本だと思います。おすすめ！

あっという間に引き込まれてしまいました。
いってみれば「魔女モノ」の王道をいくストーリーで、タイトルと最初の１章で何を「盗られる」のかはすぐわかってしまうのですが、ドキドキ感はまったく損なわれません。途中、読み終わってしまうのがとても惜しくなって、ページをめくる手が滞る始末です。

英語は平易。発話者の一人称で書かれているので、非常に読みやすく、感情移入がしやすい。多少英語が苦手な人でもだいじょうぶ！

若さを失いたくない魔女が狙うのは、若くて疑うことを知らない魂。永遠の命を持つためには手段を選ばない魔女って、邪悪ですね。最後まであきらめない主人公達に拍手。こんなに面白いのになんで翻訳されないのかと思っていたら、やっぱりでましたね。『13ヶ月と13週と13日と満月の夜』。題名が原書とあまりに違うので、最初はきづきませんでした。でもこの台詞、本の中に登場します。英語は3章辺りからぐっと読みやすくなるので、内容の面白さとあいまって、一気に読めます。千円ちょっとでこんなにワクワクドキドキ出来るのはお得。ぜひ読んでね。
