前作「神様のパズル」が抜群に面白かったので期待したのですが、期待が大きすぎたのでしょうか？
いまひとつの印象が強かったです。。

ヒマラヤで箱舟が発見された。。
謎の木簡に謎の模様が。
これはいったいなんだろう？
発掘現場に居合わせた主人公たちは、とんでもない方法でその謎に迫る・・・
なかなかの魅力的な出だしですが、具体的なイメージが湧きません。
主人公があまりにも巻き込まれただけという印象が強すぎるからでしょうか？

しかも、この謎に迫る方法が、納得できません。
もっと根拠を並べて欲しかった。
本当にあっさりと回答がみつかります。
しかもその回答が「救世主」とどう結びつくのか？
しっかりとした説明がありません。

まあ、謎解きサスペンスではなく、「救世主」作りに重きを置いているので仕方ないのかもしれませんが、読中のワクワク感が感じられなかったということで星３つです。

興奮しました。ＳＦらしさを満喫できる作品でした。
ちょっと甘い（？）ところもあったような気もしますが、パワーで圧倒してきます。予想不能なストーリー、登場人物のユニークさ、謎の興味深さ、荒唐無稽さで、途中で読むのを止められなくなり、夜なべして読んでしまいました。

木簡の謎を追う知的な興奮、主人公の運命、などストーリーでの興奮・・・読んでてワクワクする本でした。同時に、人間とは何か、救いとは、自分が人であるとは・・等考えることを、投げかけてくれる本です。

といっても、堅苦しく、重い本ではなく、一つ間違えば「わるふざけ（？）」ぽくなるユニークさが、読むのを、楽にしてくれてます。

ちょっと難しい科学的な内容も出てきますが、ま、そんなものは、パワーで圧倒です。

久々にＳＦらしいＳＦを堪能できました。
いわゆるセンスオブワンダーで読者を強力に惹きつけ、
後はぐいぐい引っ張って一気に読ませるタイプのＳＦです。

延々とSF的ギミックを書き綴ったり、文学的表現に凝ったSF
より、私はこういうタイプのＳＦに弱い(^^;

登場人物の倫理感覚の欠如や、ものすごく強引なストーリ
展開は気になりましたが、まあこれは他の人気ＳＦ作家にも
いえることです。ＳＦにはやっぱり驚きがなくっちゃ。

星4つなのは、クライマックスが弱かったこと。
あっと驚くような○○○のイメージを示してほしかった。
