この本は、キャラと土地を紹介する資料集のようなモノ。ゲームには一切触れてません。
音楽CD付きだけど2000円近いのでちょっと高いと思うかもしれない。
・・が内容はかなりいいと思う。結構内容が面白いし、キャラ絵がかなり好みだからだ。
東方知らない人も、これ見て興味を持つのもいいと思う。東方ファンは買いですね。
ただ、基本文字ばかりなので注意。活字苦手な人は気を付けよう。
あとしつこいですがゲームには一切触れてません。どんなゲームなんだろうとこの本見ても分かんないです。
まだ全キャラ紹介じゃないので、他のキャラの分も欲しいね。

東方シリーズ(紅魔郷以降)初の公式設定資料集。内容はかなりマニアックなので紅魔郷から文花帖までのシリーズを一通り遊んでから目を通すのがいいでしょう。東方の世界観が好きな方ならきっと楽しめます。とはいえ、騙されてはいけないのは、この本は純粋な設定資料集ではないということ。他レビューで、設定に抜け落ちている点があると評されてましたが、それはワザとです。本文は東方世界の一人物の視点から描かれているので、当然その人物の主観も入り得るわけです。その人物が東方世界観のすべてを網羅しているというわけでもないです。そういった意味では設定資料集としては失格と言えるかもしれませんが、単純に読み物として面白いので☆5つ。

この本を読むにあたって注意したいのは、これは設定資料集であること。
ある程度同人作品であるシューティングゲームのほうをやっていないと殆ど理解できません。
そして二次創作で定番になってる設定もある程度理解してないと流れがイマイチ見えにくい部分もあるでしょう。
もしこのレビューを見ている貴方が東方作品を知らない場合、下手したら変な宗教な本に見えなくもない部分があるかもしれません。
いえ、内容はそんなことないのですが。


ぶっちゃけ文花帖よりコアなファン向けだと思います。
もっとも、この本を手に取る人ならおおよそコアな人でしょうけど。
