『ワンダフル・ワンダリング・サーガ』です。
童話調といっていいのか、確かにシンプルな話です。文章もシンプルです。その分、読みやすいですし、展開も安定しています。

主人公は20歳の平凡な営業職サラリーマン。彼がある日突然異世界に召還されて、勇者として世界を救う旅に出る……という話です。
登場人物も限られていますし、先の展開もかなり読めてしまうのですが、それでもほのぼのとした雰囲気と、読後感の良さで楽しませてくれます。

見所は、なんといっても主人公です。完全にサラリーマンです。さすがにサラリーマンとしてでは戦闘力になりませんが、営業トークの場面などは面白かったです。
そしてあとがきにもある通り、サラリーマン＝勇者というのを納得させる活躍をしてくれます。

最初から最後迄かけて丁寧に織り上げた伏線が、すとん、と落ちになるところは好感が持てましたが。
どこが伏線か、どの描写に意味があるのか焦点を当て辛い序盤は、正直、読むのが辛かったです。
“突然異世界に飛ばされた一般人”と云う在り来たりな状況以外に着眼点がなく、今作ならではの要素は“アタッシュケース→伝説の剣”程度で、特殊な要素の組み合わせも特になかったので。
文体はシンプル、展開はゆったりとしていますが、童話的との好印象を得るより前に、文体の面白みのなさと、展開のかったるさの助長に繋がってしまっています。
半分程進めば、展開に見当がつくと同時に、今迄にあった伏線が収束する感覚を味わう事が出来るんですけどね。
序盤の動きの遅さが、他の良い部分を破壊しているな、と思いました。

また、評価されるべき点が、構造の軸、物語の本質、教えたらつまらない場所にしかなく、他人に勧め難い原因になっています。
