今まではこのゆっくりとしたストーリー進行が気に入っていたのですが、この刊は更にペースダウンしています。正直ここまで遅いとストーリーを楽しめません。
1刊文使って一向に移動していないアロス一行。ようやく仲間と打ち解けてきたのに一人よがりの理論を展開し始め、また距離を作ってしまうアロス。聖なる存在と言いながらも、目的の為なら手段を選ばない聖獣。

残念ですが自分はそのどれもが気に入りませんでした。

移動しないのは結構ですがそれに見合った中身があるかというと、そうでもない。せっかくアロスが成長し始めたと思ったらトラウマで停滞。(しかも共感出来ない)ドラクエには勧善懲悪を期待するのに、最近流行りの「何が正義か戦争」。

やはり脚本家の変更から、どんどん面白さが欠落していってる気がします。

前作やエデンや精霊の守り人も読破したカムイファンですが、覚醒したアロスでペースを取り戻さなければ読むの止めようかなと思っています。
残念ながら、持ってる単行本で一番読み返す気が起きません…

3.0 out of 5 stars 前作ならそろそろグノン編に入る巻数ですが・・, 2008/9/8
話は相変わらず牛歩展開で、いまいちメリハリがありません。
終り際にアロスが決意する描写があっただけに
次巻の展開には期待したいですね。

前作のようなテンポのいいストーリー展開を期待すると痛い目を見ますが、
作画面ではかなり見所が多いように思います。
特にこの巻はページの殆どが戦闘シーンに割かれていて、
個人的には、今回は今までよりもダイナミックなレイアウトで
スピード感のあるアクションが描かれていると感じました。
流石藤原カムイといったところでしょうか。

藤原カムイさんの描く戦闘シーンが好きな人にはオススメです。

炎の神器を奪うためアロス達の前に現れたブルーノ。
不死のモンスターを操るブルーノの前に次々と傷ついてゆく仲間達。
アニスに協力することこそ世界を救う方法だというブルーノに想いを揺さぶられるアルスだったが、ユイの言葉で封じられていた記憶を取り戻す。
自分の弱さを認めたとき覚醒を果たすアロスだったが、その代償はあまりにも大きかった。

アロスが執拗なまでにアニスを信じようとする理由が失われた過去によって明らかになります。
カバー折り返しで藤原先生も書いていますが、今回表紙の色が今までの青から赤に変わっています。
雑誌連載で先の展開をご存じの方は「あぁなるほど」と思われたんじゃないでしょうか。
