自分はこのシリーズはアニメからしか知りませんが
本当に残念です。絵が。

ゲームが原作ということもあり、アニメ本編では
少々話のスピードが速いように思い、アニメの内容の
補完的な意味を期待をして購入しましたが、裏切られました。

アニメで語られなかった細かい部分を語るわけでなく、
ただアニメのストーリーをなぞっただけのものです。
しかも絵が・・・。

マンガオリジナルストーリーならまだよかったかもしれませんが
あの絵でアニメの名シーンを再現されると少々引いてしまいます。

今後もずっと同じ絵、アニメのストーリーそのままという状態なら
多分もう買いません。

本作は、ANIMAXで放映されている魔人学園剣風帖龍龍のコミック版。

アニメ自体が原作ゲームの雰囲気を反映していないリメイク版なので言っても
仕方がないとは思うのだが、伝奇の欠片もない絵柄で、原作からプレイしている身に
とっては軽いカルチャーショック的なものがあった。
いかにもガンガン系の新人らしい絵柄ということで微笑ましいといえば微笑ましいのだが、
もうちょっと骨のある絵柄の新人を起用できなかったのかと突っ込むぐらいは許してほしい。

なにせ、アクションシーンが大半を占める中で、絵柄の稚拙さが気に障るので
なかなか作品に感情移入できない。
頼むから男は男らしく、女は女らしく、そしてグロイものはグロく描いてほしい。

と、絵柄はともかくとして、内容はアニメに準拠したもので、比較的よくまとまっている。
アニメを、メインストーリーにしぼって圧縮している割に、話の破綻もないので
よく構成し直したというところだろう。

だが、惜しむらくは絵が・・・絵が、読んでいるうちに腹が立ってくるぐらいの稚拙さで、
はっきりいって下手だ。
この作品には、つらい。
何といってもそこだけが惜しい。
新人ということなので今後上達はしていくだろうが、本作への起用は本当に失敗だった。
続刊を買うかどうかは微妙なところだ。
