ダークファンタジーとは宣伝しているものの、
それほど黒くは無かったり(18禁な感じですが)。それでも結構面白いのです。

この漫画はユーベルブラットの「0巻」と云うこともあり、続く「1巻」の為の
舞台を築くために様々な用語が出てきますが、大まかな流れとしては、
┃20余年前に敵に寝返り、殺されたハズの四人の"裏切りの槍"が
┃突如山賊の類を集め挙兵。辺境伯領は瞬く間に侵略される。
┃亜人種の少年ケインツェルは、その四人を討つべく戦うのだが、
┃"七英雄"の一人、グレンの私兵"七槍騎士団"に出会う。
┃そしてケインツェルの持つ"黒い剣"の力を見込み協力を求めるが──

"裏切りの槍"と"七英雄"、そして"黒い剣"の力を持つケインツェルが
過去の英雄譚の真実を語る。ホンの少しのエロスとギャグ、そして濃厚な
ファンタジー世界への幕開け的作品になっている。

雑誌の事情もあって同時発売の「1巻」だけで読んでも問題無いのですが、
世界観、舞台設定など、ファンタジー要素が満点な「0巻」も先に読めば、
1巻は勿論、2巻以降への期待も高まることでしょう。

昨今の漫画の中でも、かなりエロティックでグロテスク色が強いユーブラ。
その始まりの始まりである、1巻ではないこの0巻。
これを読まずしては、ケインツェルがどれほど壮絶な過去を経験をしたのか分からないでしょう。
何故「英雄」と呼ばれる7人の偉人に、殺意を漲らせ復讐を誓ったのか。
それがこの0巻にて描かれています。
最初に思ったのは、非常に画力が高いということ。
ファンタジーな物語でここまで絵が上手いと、否応無しに世界に引き込まれます。
戦闘シーンにおいても、何がなんだかよく分からない、ということはなく、
きっちりと、だけどもダイナミックかつグロテスクに描かれています。
シナリオにおいても、先の読めない復讐劇は読んでいて非常に魅力に溢れています。
マイナーながらも最後まで応援していきたいと思わせる出来栄えです。

今現在単行本を９巻まで読んだ感じ、まず三浦健太郎さんの「ベルセルク」に結構影響されてるような気がします

かつての仲間だった７人に英雄の名を奪われ、切り刻まれ、汚名を着せられた主人公の復讐劇です

七英雄の名声は凄まじく国中の人々が英雄として崇めて居るのですが当の七英雄たちは小物揃いなので少し拍子抜けしました

暴力シーンが多いですがそれほどグロいとは思いませんでした、エロシーンも多いのですが個人的にこれはあんまり好きじゃない

ここまで色々書きましたが最後に総合的な感想を書きますと、ダーク物にしては全体的に話があっさりし過ぎている思います
原因は物語の中に含まれるドロドロが足りないんだと思います、言うなればライトダークファンタジー
ゆえに先に書いたベルセルクのような重厚でドロドロした純粋なダークを求める方には物足りないかと思われます
