錬金のレシピは、序盤はいいが終盤にはレシピがそのまま書かれてるだけ。（少しヒントがある程度）
できればどのアイテムかわかるようにしてほしかった。
世界地図に宝箱が書いてあるのはいいが、
上下巻の内容からこれで全部かどうかがわからない。
モンスターにしても、表のザコキャラは詳しいが、ボスのデータは数字がない。
隠しストーリのモンスターは一部イメージのみという感じ。
期待していただけに残念。

他の方も散々言っておられます通り、攻略に関してはかなり中途半端。
せめて錬金術リストぐらいは、全て載せて欲しいと思う。
攻略目的と言うよりも、ビジュアル観賞目的として買うと思った方が良い。
中盤までのデータでいいから知りたい、調べるのが面倒、趣味で手元に１冊置いておきたい、と言う人以外は、わざわざ購入する必要は無いのではないだろうかと思う。

ついにで出ましたドラクエVIIIの公式ガイドブック

っと言っても期待してはいけませんそれがドラクエシリーズの公式ガイドブックの醍醐味です。

小さなメダルはもちろんラスボスの攻略などは一切載っておりませんあと裏ステージで手に入る竜神装備一式、竜神王の試練も載っておりませんネットで調べたほうがいいですよ。

それでも買うと言う人へ
スキルが１目でわかる見やすい、スカウトモンスターのメタルキングは裏ステージで手に入る以上です、

結論を言うと　しょぼいと言うことです　分厚いだけ　邪魔・・・etc
