「試験とは何？」という子供の問いに、「これよ」と、受けさせてみた児童英検。
とはいえ、何も練習なしというのも心配で、発行年数が最新だったこの本を選びました。
正解でした！
CDを聞きながら試験の要領でページを進んでいきます。
絵も楽しいですし、CDも明るい女性の声でわかりやすく（本人はゆっくりすぎる！と苛立つたりもしていましたが。。。）
試験前１週間をこの本の時間にあてて、本人がやりたいという所まで毎日ページを進みました。
間違いやすい点なども試験に似ていて、子供は安心して試験を受けてきました。

間違いやすい点というのは、我家の場合。
５歳ということでのわかりにくい点。
たとえば絵を見て知らないものがあったり、
「博物館と美術館の絵の見分けがつかない」や、
会話から絵を選択するところで、CDの会話はわかるけれど「絵の内容をうまくよめない」等
がありました。
説明してやると、すんなり「納得」する程度の失敗があるものです。
親としても、子供の英語のレベルや、生活常識、認識のレベルを知る上で、よい勉強になりました。

結果、３問の上記理由の×はありましたが、高得点をとることができ、本人も喜んでいました。
次はシルバーを受ける予定ですが、このシリーズを選ぶつもりです。

ご存知児童英検はBRONZE・SILVER・GOLD とレベルが分かれています。

他のタイプの本は３レベルが一緒になっていてブロンズのみの勉強をするのに
ページとＣＤをめくったり飛ばしたりで使いにくかったです。

この本はブロンズのみのレベルがしっかり勉強できたので役に立ちました。
次はシルバー対応版を使用するつもりです。

実際の試験を体験するために購入。
前半はおまけの単語辞典がついていて、こちらが思いがけず活用できました。
今まで覚えてきたことの復習、忘れていることの確認等。
お値段が高めかな？とも思いますが、小さい子には色がついていて、
大き目のこのサイズがお勧めです。
