　37の学習カテゴリ（くだもの・学用品・動物・色かたち等）が用意されており、各カテゴリはに１０~３０個の単語がピクチャーディクショナリ形式（上段に絵や写真、下段にその絵の英語と和訳）で並んでいる。ウチの娘は4歳なので学用品等見たことのないものも沢山あるが、写真でしっかり確認できるので英語と同時に日本語の勉強にもなっている。そして学習し終えてCDを聞くとリスニングクイズが３問あり、きちんと学習できたかどうかチェックできるのも嬉しい。英検対応の問題は４カテゴリごと。
　５つ星をあげられない理由は各カテゴリの単語に対応する音声がないこと。子供が新たに単語を覚える際に私の発音じゃまずいでしょ。しかもどう発音していいかわからないものもあるし。この点にとてもがっかりしました。他のアルクの教材も購入しなさいということなんだろうか。児童英検のドリルの中ではとても素晴らしいと評価しますが、これ１冊だけで対応できるかといったら、満足のいく仕上がりではないように思います。

練習問題が全グレードあわせて４０ありブロンズ対応は１３です。
イラストなどカラーでわかりやすい内容で子供も取り組みやすいです。
子供によるとCDの内容も試験の時と同じ感じだそうです。
取り組みやすいし、簡単な会話なども載っていますし
ゴールドまでこれで対応できるし良いドリルだと思います。
ただ練習問題の合間に単語をクイズ形式で当てるページがあり
子供も喜んでやっていますが、CDから流れるのは三単語ほどなので
できれば載っている単語すべてのリスニングがあれば良いのにとそれが残念でした。

娘が1月に児童英検を受けるのですが、対策本がなくて困っていました。英語スクールの先生がこの本をすすめてくださり、さっそく買ってみました。イラストがかわいらしくて、ドリルというよりもクイズを解く感じで娘もどんどん挑戦しています。ほかのドリルより問題がたくさん載っているので、試験準備にはよいと思いますよ。
