「東大」をひがむ割にはその権威に弱い日本人の心の隙を突いた題名で、売れ行きは好調だったと言われるこの本、内容も十分に分かりやすい。

入門経済書の中では、今まで読んだ中で一番分かりやすかった。

ただ、カバーしている範囲があまりにも少ないので、星は4つです。
続編でその辺はカバーしていますが、「経済」と言うからには、もう少し内容が多い方がよいと思いました。

経済学はまったくの初学者なので、とっかかりの本として選びました。

「誰にでもわかる経済学」系の本が沢山ある中で、この本を選んだのは
大学生時代に試験の前に大変お世話になった、
他の優秀生徒の書いたノート・解説書のプリント・コピー
（通称「しけプリ」）と同じ香りがしたから（笑）

試験勉強前にまず「しけプリ」で理解をしてから教科書を読むと
かなり効率よく理解できたことを思い出したのです。
（「しけプリ」は100％正確かつ信頼できるものではないので
その後必ず難解な教科書は読まなくてはならないけど）

実際、本書は期待に違わず、非常にわかりやすくマクロ経済について
説明してくれていました。
前に説明したことを、関係のある箇所で都度復習する形式も
読者の理解を確実なものにしようとする意図が感じられ
好感が持てました。

初学者ゆえに、この本の正確さ・信頼性は判断しかねますが
次は伊藤元重先生の本を読もう、と思わせてくれました。

また、内容とは直接関係ありませんが、著者の皆さんの
若いまっすぐな熱意が随所に感じられ、パワーをもらえました。

本当に経済を知らない人が始めて読む本としてはお勧めです。教授と生徒の登場人物が出てきて、会話形式で説明しているところなどは、特に分かりやすいです。難しい経済誌よりも、とっかかりやすいと思います。
