遊郭（くるわ）というものがなくなって久しいわけだが、どっこいここに生きていた。キャバクラとは昔の吉原遊郭を彷彿とさせる男とオンナの世界なのだった。これを読んだからといって、キャバクラに行きたくなるわけじゃないけど（お金もないし）、その楽しみの質がどういうものかが解ってくる。「経済学」の勉強はいずれにしても、充分に楽しめる１冊です。たしか姉妹編で「心理学」「言語学」というのもある。みんな同じ「やれないのに通う」オトコとそれを「ひっぱる」オンナの、粋な駆け引きの実体。一気に読めて損はしない。おもしろい。

この本が書かれたのは1999年。この頃から比べると特に携帯メールの普及といった点で
状況が大きく異なっているものの、基本的な考え方や手法その他は一切変化していない。
それが、この本の普遍性である。
マーケティングの入門書としても最適。勉強が苦手とおっしゃる御仁も、
自分の普段のキャバクラ遊びになぞらえて説明されれば、納得せざるを得ない。

それがこの本の優位性である。
また、「所詮は擬似恋愛」などという冷めた目線ではないところも非常に好感が持てる。
安直な恋愛本とは一線を画す名著である。

私もキャバクラで働いてますが、全くその通り！！ あまりにも手の内を明かされてしまったので、営業に差し支える事も！！
