プロピアシャンプーには有効成分も入ってないし効かないという結論も出ている。
プロピアと全く同じ成分のシャンプーを販売している三恵製薬株式会社はサイトで育毛効果は無いと言い切ってる。これらのシャンプーはプロピアと三恵製薬株式会社の共同開発。成分見る限りかなり悪い部類に入ると思う。パレス硫酸とかラウレス硫酸とかこれじゃあ一般に売られてるものと同じ、他にアミノ酸系で低刺激のシャンプーはいくらでもある。
プロテイン入りと言っているが肝心のプロテイン(卵黄アルブミン）が含まれてない。初版で医薬品と書いてあったが嘘が指摘され2版からこっそり削除された。
テレビの水道橋の発言は体験談商法。体験談を書籍化しその書籍に販売先とか連作先を記述して目的の商品を売りつける。 以前は脱法行為として野放しであったが近時は摘発するケースも増えており違法行為として捉えられつつある。
そもそも育毛剤なるモノで生えるのならヘアコンタクトもヅラも売る必要ないはずだ。
博士のレトリックには十分に注意する必要あり。巧妙に「育毛」と「発毛」という言葉を使い分けてる。プロテインシャンプーに「発毛」の効果があるとは一言も書いていない。

ある程度の年齢の大人になると、本を読み、影響され、ついつい行動に移してしまうなんてことは殆どしなくなる。けど、この現役芸能人・水道橋博士による「実体験健康本」は、ページを繰るごとに、「うわあ、やってみたい！　試してみたい！」と思わず重い腰を浮かせてしまうのだ。続きを読みたくして仕方なくなりつつも、本に書かれた情報をネットで調べたくなったりもする。（実際に私はそれを同時進行しました）
　「薄毛克服」「視力矯正」「アンチエイジング」「重度の肩凝り解消」「加圧式トレーニング」････これらすべてを実体験し、結果を出した上で書き上げた著者の行動力・行動量・人体力・経験力にはまさに脱帽です。そして、本当に物凄い情報量が詰まった本ですが、でもそれにもまして、最終章にて、芸能人である自分が未だ世間に認知されざる健康法を喧伝することの是非やマイナス面についても真正面から語る（ある種、現在のテレビ業界タブーに挑戦状を叩きつけている風に読める一文すらある！）に至っては、正直、感動してしまいました。「異常な健康」を追求する水道橋博士は、物書きとして、芸人として、なんと「健全」であることか･･･。

この本に書かれていることは、普遍的に役立つ健康体操や運動、サプリメントについてのこととは違う。簡単に誰でもやろうと思えば試せる方法もあるが、割と今までの常識になかったり、世間一般には未知な健康法について書かれていた。実用的で誰でもすぐ試せる健康法を求めている人には合わないかもしれない。

しかし、著者が試した製品の開発に関わる秘話や理論についてなかなか詳しく書かれているが、それは大変面白い。ビジネス本、または普通の読み物としても面白いと思う。

この本を読んだあとには、この本で書かれている健康法のいくつかに関心を持ち試してみたくなるはずだ。個人的には若さを保つのに役立つ「胎盤エキス」や「加圧式」に大変興味を持った。

目次を見て、興味のある項目があったら読んでみると良い。
