私は今まで英語で使えるようになるために数々の参考書を使って勉強してきましたが、結局身につきませんでした。それは本書の文中にある“真の英語力”を求めて勉強していたからだと気づかされました。

自分がどういう場面で英語を使えるようになりたいのかをしっかり見極めて、それに向けて必要な能力だけを身につけるようにすることが使えるようになる一番の近道だと。

本書では、身につけたい能力ごとの勉強法とおすすめ参考書が書かれているので、また英語の勉強を始める気力がわいてきました。

英語の勉強法に対する根本的な考え方からして
間違っていたことに気づかされました。
『何を捨てて、何を拾うか』
これは英語だけでなく、日々の生活についても言えるなぁと
人生までも考えさせる深い本でした。

勉強しても英語が上達しないというのは
自分の求める英語の能力を考えずにただ勉強しているだけ・・・
まずは求める英語力を分析し、何が必要か考えることが
必要だということがよく分かりました。

『時間は有限であり無限ではない』
じゃぁどうればいいんだと思いましたが、しっかりと
求める英語力別の勉強法や参考書が紹介されています。
分かり易くてよかったです。

たとえば英語の勉強なんかも、もっとリラックスしてやったほうが、きっとかえって効果があったりするのかな、、、などと思っていたときに読んですっきりしました。やる気が出ないときや迷いが多いときに、一旦頭の中を整理したり、気分を変えるのに効果があるようです。
さて、あとは、学習の実践あるのみなのですが、、、、まあ、たかが英語の勉強、のんびりやります。
