初版発行が２００６年７月３１日というのもあり英文内容が古臭くなく、「これからTOEFL(iBT)を受験される方用の第一歩の教材」
としても「８月最後のCBTを受験される方用の締めの教材」としても使えます。

＜ポイント１＞
帯にも書いてますが「コーパス（英文のデータベース）」が全部で２３題あり、短時間で集中して単語を覚えられる。
（内容的にも英文は古臭くありませんし、久々の赤シートがついているので、楽しく(？)出来る）

＜ポイント２＞
付属のCDを使い、PartB用（ロングカンバセーション・講義）の基礎知識の吸収が出来る。
最後の締めの方には最終確認。

＜ポイント３＞
本番試験(Reading section)に対応した実践問題付き。単語の一致・不一致問題が各セクションに５題（計１１５題）
他にも単語を覚える工夫（エクササイズとなっています）が数多くあります。

＜ポイント４＞
各セクションの最後には「関連語句」として、背景知識とコーパスには載せられなかった単語がのっています。
これはReadingの知識としてもListeningのPartB（iBTにももちろん対応）にも役に立ちます。

※これからTOEFLを勉強される方へのアドバイス〜ただ、これ一冊で単語を終わらせるのは危険です。
この一冊が終わった後に、英単語３８００で他の単語を覚えつつ末尾の「分野別英単語リスト」でL/Rの両方の知識力をアップさせ、
確実に単語力を上げていく方法をお勧めします！！

アルクの190リーディングのような感じですが、内容、量ともに中途半端。
どこに焦点をあてているのかが、わからない。ボキャブラリーに焦点としているなら、語数は2500と少ないし（CDに発音が録音されていないものもある。聞いてわかる読んでわかるっていうのが、ボキャには大切では？）、リーディングに焦点としているなら、リーディングに使用される文章が簡単すぎる。リスニングに焦点としているなら、リスニングスピードが遅すぎる。背景知識を補うための、読み物がついているけれど、表面的すぎで、これは、背景知識に役立つとは思えない。表紙にCBT213-250って書いているけれど、これをやっても213点とれるかなって感じです。
中途半端すぎて、やった後も、ストレスたまります。

とてもわかりやすくて良かったです。英単語と日本語がただ羅列してあるだけのありがちな単語集と違い、パッセージやエクササイズを通して単語を勉強できるところが気に入りました。今までTOEFL対策の単語集をいくつか使ってきましたが、個人的にはこの本がベストだと思います。
