「出題パターン」や必須表現集などが網羅的に記述してあり、参考になることが多かったです。問題＆添削のセクションでは、添削の具体例が１０点挙がっていたので、「こういうところで減点されるのだな」と納得しながら読むことができました。

ただし、この本はある程度ライティングができる人に向けられたものだと思います。とくに「必須表現集」は、言わばパーツですから、それをつなげる力が必要となります。具体的には大卒（英文科が望ましい）か英検準一級以上であれば、役立てることができると思います。
ちなみに私はCBT TOEFLを２回受験し、6点満点中、4.5点と4点を取りました（250点に到達するには5.0点が必要と言われています。）。

TOEFLに限らず英文ライティングには欠かせない１冊だと思う。適切な語彙の選び、文法、発想の違いから来る日本人が犯しやすいミスなど、丁寧な添削を通じて、じっくり学べる。これは英検１級の２次対策で、スピーチ原稿を書く際にも取り入れることができ、大変内容の濃い本である。植田一三先生の本は、全部そうだが、出し惜しみせず、ありとあらゆることを１冊にもりこんであり、とてもありがたかった。

英語のツールのショールーム的な本で、羅列はされているが、じゃあ、それらをどう組み合わせて使うの？という点で満足できない。かなりの実力のある人なら役立つかもしれないが、TOEIC850点レベルの私ではピンとこない。実際の添削部分は読んでいて役に立つ。
