新聞で、多くの自治体が破綻してもおかしくない程の財政難であることが最近よく報じられている。先日などは我が家のある神奈川県も記事になっていた。

このジャンルの本は学生頃の教科書のイメージがあり敬遠気味だったが、お買得価格につい購入。実例をあげたわかりやすい解説で非常に勉強になった。情報開示の運動をしている友人にも教えてあげようかと思うほど専門的な内容もあったが、それは、小生のような小市民からオンブズマンや役人までも幅広く読めるということだろうか・・・。バランスシートとやらを作って自分の街の財政状況を一歩突っ込んで知ってみようかと思わせる書だった。
