かわいい絵本や子供のためになる絵本はたくさんあるけれど、
言葉が少ないながらに大人をも圧倒する絵本は少ない。
でも『オリビア』はそういう本。心にビッグバンを起こしてくれる。
かわいいし、子供のものでありながら、圧倒的なパワーを持ってる。

「子供は真理を知ってる。こたえはそこにあるんだよ、忘れてない？」

って突きつけられてる感じがした。で、ありながらすっごくかわいい。
読んだあと心が柔らかくなるの。すごくステキ。

イアン・ファルコナーはグラフィックデザイナーだから
絵にも余計なとこがなくて、キャラクターグッズになっても上品。
オリビアのTシャツはすごくおしゃれで、先日思わず買ってしまった！
すっかりオリビアのファンです。

実は妊娠がわかる前に、自分用に（笑）英語版を購入しました。今では子供に読んで聞かせるのを楽しみにしていますが、どなたかもおっしゃっていたとおり、アートが好きな女性が喜びそうな本です。ちょっと趣向の変わったベビーギフトとして選んでもいいのではないでしょうか・

続編も出ていますので、興味のある方はごらんになってはいかがかと思います。

もう最高！すごくセンスのいい絵本。お友達にもプレゼントしたらとても喜ばれました。こんな絵本ってはじめて。新作をはやく手に入れたい！
