初めは図書館で見つけました。息子（二歳）の為に借りましたが、あまりにも気に入った様子なので購入しました。

躍動感ある話と絵です。外国の絵本って色鮮やかなものが多いように思いますが、この本も本棚に並べてあっても目立ちますね。主人公のレッド号の他にも、動物たちや牧場のトラクターやほかの乗り物が繊細かつ美しく描かれていて、絵本を読みすすめながらも子どもの目を引くようです。牧場や駅の絵がそれぞれ２ページにわたって大きく描かれていたりと迫力がありますね。乗り物好き、汽車好きの男の子にぜひお勧めです！

外国の絵本って鮮やかな色使いの物が多いのですが、この本も本棚に並べていても目を引きます！駅や牧場がそれぞれ二ページにわたって描かれていたり、きれいで躍動感がある絵ですし、話の展開もよいので、息子（二歳）のお気に入りの本の一冊です。乗り物好き、汽車好きの男の子には絶対お勧めです。
