今はやりの「スローライフ」なんていう言葉でくくれるような、うわっついた生活ではありません。
どっかりと大地に根を下ろした、たくましさがあります。
それは、簡単には壊れないかごのように、主人公の少年だけでなく、私たちにも必要なものです。

「風がえらんでくれた人になりたい」
私もそう思います。本当にたいせつなことを、忘れないで生きていかなければと思います。

落ち着いた色味のバーバラ・クーニーの絵が、この物語をとても引き立てています。
彼女の最期にふさわしい作品だと、残念ですが、思います。

４歳の娘のために買いました。
難しいかなと思いきや、娘は読んであげると、黙って聞いています。
いろいろな生活があるのだなぁと感慨深くなる絵本です。
絵も素晴らしいです。バーバラ・クーニーの絵は叙情的で素朴で素晴らしいです。
子供が見て、何かを感じとれる絵だと思います。
