この本は、「書くための発想を得る」ために書かれています。
起承転結、テロップなど「文章を面白くするためのスキル」を
期待するとガッカリします。

また、「なんで、こんな事をする必要があるのか？」という
疑問を持ち始めて読んでしまうとＮＧです。

例えば、「何で深呼吸すると気分が落ち着くんだ？」とか、
考えて出したら、どうしようも無くなるのと同じです。

「登場人物のキャラクターを、生き生きとした本当にいる人間の
ように設定するのは、どうしたらよいのか？」

理論的よりも感情的。
サイエンスよりもアート。

そんな発想を得るための本です。

　細切れの時間をどのようにして創作のために使うか、ということについては、参考になると思います。そのことについて悩んでいる人にとっては、この本は星４つくらいの価値はあると思います。
　が、作品の作り方そのものを知ろうという場合には、あまり当てにならないと思います。それから、スランプから脱出する方法の手がかりを知りたい場合も。前者について知りたいのならば、「ベストセラー小説の書き方」（ディーン・R・クーンツ著）や、脚本を書きたい場合には「ハリウッド・リライティング・バイブル」（リンダ・シガー著）の方が参考になるし、後者について知りたいのならば、「ローレンス・ブロックのベストセラー作家入門」（ローレンス・ブロック著）の方がいいと思います。
　あくまで、時間の使い方で悩んでいる人のための本だと思います。

ありきたりなことが書かれてるんだけど、これらはライターとして必要なこと。

これからライターとして仕事しようとしてる人は、専門の学校の生徒でない限り、様々な障害に突き当たる。

『書く時間がない』というのもその障害のひとつ。

他の仕事をしつつライターとして物を書いている人は、必ずその障害に突き当たる。そして改めて休暇を取ってパソコンに向かうと何も書けないという事は、本当によくあることだ。
この本はそういった障害を取り除き、ライター志望の人にアイディアの活気を沸せる。そして無駄ない時間で文章を書けるようにするにはどうすればいいのかが書かれている。

この本に書かれてることを実行するだけで、ライター志望の人は無駄に努力しなくてはならないことの大半をクリアーできるだろう。
