私が子供のころに一番大好きだった本です。
ちょっと気の弱い男の子がひと夏の素敵な経験で一回り大きく成長していくお話です。
６年生の同じく気の弱いうちの長男に読ませたくて探したところ、
復刻されていました。
この少年が先生から聞いてあこがれていた高杉晋作に興味を持ち、
いろいろ調べた子供のころを懐しく思い出しました。
男の子っていいな、みんな素敵だなって思える本です。
ぜひぜひ読んでみてください。

子供のころに大好きだった本です。
ちょっと気弱な少年が夏休みの素敵な出来事でものすごく
成長するというお話です。
６年生のちょっと気の弱い長男に読ませたくていろいろ探したら復刻されていました。
男の子っていいな、すごいなって思える本です。
この本をきっかけに高杉晋作のことまで調べてしまった
私の子供時代を懐かしく思い出しました。
ずいぶん古いお話ですがちっとも古さを感じさせません。
今江祥智さんの文章と長新太さんの挿絵の絶妙なコンビも
とてもよいです。
ぜひぜひ呼んでみてください。

中学入学早々「ピンクちゃん」とあだ名をつけられた少年が、田舎での冒険を通して成長する物語。長新太さんのユーモラスな絵と今江さんの軽快なテンポで、一気に読める。戦争がまだそんなに遠くなかった、でものんびりとした1960年代が生き生きと描かれていて読んでいて元気になる本。
