判例付き六法の中でも条文をカタタナからひらがなに変更していたり、難しい漢字にふりがなをふってあるので、初学者にも親しみやすいです。判例も十分すぎるほど記載されており、また判例を年月日で探せるように索引も記載されています。民法の現代語化成立の際の追補についても請求ハガキがついています。

六法と言えば三省堂の「模範六法」が定番ですが、本書が「模範六法」より使いやすい点は

１，カタカナ法令がひらがなで記載されていて読みやすいこと。
２，文字が大きく見やすいこと。
３，新しく掲載された判例が番号が黒抜き文字で示されてわかりやすいこと。
４，「模範六法」より薄く持ち運びに耐えうること。
です。

掲載されている法律は限られていますが、その分基本六法にスペースが十分で、内容も充実しています。収録判例数は延べ11,000件で、今年は新破産法が判例つきで収録されています。さらに民法現代語化法成立時には「追補」を贈呈だそうです。

私は最初、民法は「口語民法」を使っていたのですが、内容がある程度頭に入り判例も付せて読めば本書で必要十分と思われます。内容的には「模範六法」が圧倒的にいいのですが、個人的には「模範六法」よりもこちらの方に愛着がわいています。
