この本は日本語で書かれた本の中でも、入門者にはとても良い本だと思います。この本をじっくりこなせば中級者にも手の届くところまではいけると思います。ただし、この本を十分に活用するためには我慢強く考えることが大切となってくるのである程度考える力や読解力のついた人向けだと思います。いきなり小学生がこの本から始めるのはちょっと大変かな？確かに駒の動かし方から書いてあるのでまったくの初心者からでも大丈夫だと思いますがもっとやさしい他の入門書を読んだ後だとより身につきやすいかな？

本の中身の見た目は子供向きに見えますが、内容は高度だと思います。
著者が第２１期日本チャンピオンという理由のためか、戦術や練習問題も高度な内容で、読みこなせば強くなれるでしょう。
高校生以上向きの本と思います。中学生以下には少し難しいかも。

ビギナーにとっては、とても丁寧に分かりやすく書いてあるとおもいます。それに、読んでいても飽きが来ないので、チェスを始めたい人にはおすすめです！
