家族に薦められて読みました。自然に興味のない私でも、ページいっぱいに楽しげに並べられたドングリと松ぼっくりの数々に、思わず見入ってしまいました。一口にドングリ・松ぼっくりと言っても、本書に収められた種類の多さには驚かされます。そして、その一つずつについて、成長の様子が色鮮やかな写真とリズムのいいレイアウトでまとめられていて、最後まで飽きさせません。
「あ、これ見たことある！」という発見と共に、楽しめる一冊です。

　本書に出てくる植物は、枝に付いた葉や芽だけをくり抜いた非常に美しく分かりやすい写真となっている。幹の写真がないためドングリの木がどの様な感じの樹かは分かりにくいが、ドングリの生長や葉の感じは良く分かり有り難い。樹を探すのではなくあくまでも落ちているドングリや松ぼっくりから樹を確認するのには十分。外国産のドングリや装飾に良く見る外国産の松ぼっくりも紹介されており、見ていて楽しい。単にドングリの図鑑というわけではなく、見ていて楽しいのはこの手の本としては重要な要素となるのでは....。

とにかくきれい！　イラストの本もあるけれどやはり写真の方が美しさが伝わります。写真に添えてあるコメントがまた素敵。短い文の中にエッセンスがたっぷりです。　本を持って森へ行きたくなる事間違いなし！ですよ。
