　啓蒙批判、全体主義批判の真摯な知的考察の書。
　想像以上によみやすくなりより面白い。著者の皮肉のセンスはドイツ人とは思えないほどシャープである。
　図像も多く、そして上手く配置されており（ティルオイレンシュピーゲルなど）、書物としての完成度は高い。
　例えばハーバーマス批判の箇所。
　彼の「正当化の理論が近代の国家体制の中枢の核心を衝くものであることは間違いない。
問題はただその正当化危機の知の主体は誰なのかという点である」
　「今日の体制に仕える人間は左手がけっして許さぬ事でも右手で平気でやってしまう」
　参照文献リストもブックガイドのようで読みやすい。
