可愛い絵柄ですよね。お兄ちゃんのやんちゃな馬鹿っぷり（失礼）と、妹ちゃんの「小さくても女」なおしゃまさが本当に可愛らしく、
そしてどこかせつない。西原さんの漫画は、幼年時代を思い出させる匂いがあります。
子供のときって、楽しいばっかりじゃなくて、いつもせつない感じがつきまといませんでしたか？（私だけか？）
わりと頻繁に元夫の鴨志田さんが登場し、西原ファンとしては何か嬉しいです。
鴨志田さんが子供達にクリスマスプレゼントを買い、元妻にも「何か欲しいものは？」と問いかけ
西原さんが「大丈夫。全部もってるから」と応えるシーンでは目頭が熱くなりました。
現実はＣＭに出てくるみたいな健全家族ばかりじゃなくて、何か欠落したり何か過剰だったりして
でも幸せですもんね。西原さんの漫画読むと、いつも真面目に頑張ろうって気になります。

”毎日かあさん カニ母編”と比べると、兄妹の成長と個体の違いを
軸に話が進んでいきます。 珍しく西原母さんの影が薄くなるほどに。
カモちゃんとの関係はカニ母編の後半でお別れになったので、作中では
たまにお外で親子で会う間柄に変わりましたが、痛みを内包するいつくしみが作品ににじみます。
息子ネタの方が、行動としてはスケールがでかいので本編では一見目立ちますが、
いやあ、女の子って、小さい時から嘘泣きの策略家になるもんですなぁ。そちらに感心することしきり。

近年　家庭内暴力だとか幼児虐待だとか
親子・家庭の話と言えば血生臭いニュースばかりだが
血の繋がりってそういうもんじゃないんだよな

生まれ変わっても　かあちゃんがいいや

って言葉にその意味が込められてると思う
世の親御さん方みなさんに読んでもらいたい一冊
