マリリンが演技の勉強のためにニューヨークへ行きアクターズ・スタジオに入るエピソードと、劇作家アーサー・ミラーと再婚したことが、私には何とも可愛らしく写ります。この本を読んでみると、マリリンは生涯で１０回以上も堕胎手術を受けているから、まあ、処女でないことは明白ですが、それでも、彼女の「心」の方は、あくまで処女であると思いたい。と言うか、この本を読んでますます、マリリンは「大人」ではなかったのだなという思いを強くしました。
