大島さんとサバの生活の様子が淡々と描かれていて 人と猫の暮らしというよりは、仲のいい友達同士の生活を のぞかせてもらったような楽しいマンガエッセイ。 サバは、日々を共に過ごしていく家族であり、パートナーなんだなと感じられます。漫画家という職業の締め切り前の大変さや苦労もさらっと描かれていて気持ちいい。

生活していくってなんだかいいよね・・という気分になる ほのぼのとした大島さんの本がだいすきです。

グーグーだって猫であるが気に入ったので、この本も購入しました。ちょっとびっくりするような、売れっ子漫画家の生活、でももしかしたら、大企業の女性マネージャーの生活と似ているかも？？？心にしみたのは、１年（以上？）のお休みをとることに決めて、猫と生活していた日々のささいな出来事です。

大島弓子さんは吉祥寺に住んでいる、たぶん、いまも、間違いなく、大島さんの作品はこころが清くないと読めない、初期からくらべると格段の才能を開いていった作家である。
少女マンガ家が芸術家になる過程をともに歩いた。じーまは大島弓子さんの大ファンであり
文句いったら、けっとばすくらいに愛している。昭和が平成に残すコミック作家一位にも
えらばれた。その本をもっている。ゴキブリが秋ですかな？と紳士の姿をしている。
誰にもマネできないデフォルメのイメージを持って書き続けてきた。もっと描いてほしいと
思っても、描きたいだけしか描いてくれない。サバはもう逝ったらしいが最愛のサバとの家庭を、どうぞ　ご覧ください。サバは弓子さんよりいつも大きい。この姿で大島弓子の世界を予想して下さい、彼女はある作品で家族の姿を精神年齢で表現した。こんなことできるのは世界で大島弓子しかいないのである。へいしん低頭。ぺこり・・・。パチパチ。
