作者があとがきで書いているように、確かにこの本を「あっ！」と手に取っている方は間違いなくディープは日渡早紀ファンでしょう。この本も単行本で持っていたのですが、いつの間にか手元から消えてしまっていたので、思わずこの文庫版を手に取ってしまいましたが、あらためて読んでみてその話の面白さと少女マンガ離れしていることにびっくりしました。買いなおして良かった！表題作「記憶鮮明」はもともと映画を意識して作りの話ですが、いきなり爆発する導入部から、登場人物の設定や背景の説明、クライマックスまで無駄なく、テンポ良い進み具合は、まるで映画のようです。２０年以上前の作品ですが、話に古さはまったく感じません。そうそう、このまんがで「パセリ」のスペル覚えたんだよね~

内容は、以前通常のコミックスで発売された「偶然が残すもの　記憶鮮明II」におさめられた話に、初期の「記憶鮮明」シリーズが付け加えられたものです。

「ぼくの地球を守って」に登場する未来路がメインの話はまだ続きがありそうな含みのある内容で、最近別冊で2回読みきりとして描かれている「ボクを包む月の光」の方でこれからももっと続きが描かれるといいなあと思います。

それにしても文庫版はサイズが小さくて読みづらい、、。

今や古本屋さんでしか手に入らない昔の作品が新品で手に入るのは嬉しいですが、サイズも読みやすいサイズで出てくれると、ファンとしてはありがたいのですが。
とはいえ、ファンとしてはこの調子で「アクマくん」シリーズなんかもリバイバルしてほしいです。

数年ぶりに読み返しましたが、ストーリー性、スピード感、そしてジョジョの情けなくかっこよいところ、色あせるところがありません。
日渡早紀、天才です。
リズとジョジョが牢屋でご飯を食べながら、ジョジョが慰めるシーンで「生きててくれなきゃ困るな、でないとめぐり合えない」という台詞は、当時中学生で「なんで生きているのだろう」とのろのろ考えていた私の心にズドン、と響きました。
