とても考えさせられる作品です。
よく、「前の明るい話の方が良かった」「ドロドロしすぎてて読む気がしない」等と周りの人は言いますが、私は全く逆の意見です。主人公の透を中心に、十二支や周囲の人々がどんどん変化していく様は、現実の人そのものなのだと感じます。誰だって辛い過去や、他人や自分に対する苛立ちを持っています。それを乗り越えて、人は成長していくんだと。実際私は、この本と共に成長しています。フルーツバスケットという作品に出会えて、とても幸せだと感じます。

私は、20巻は物語の構成としては良かったと思いました。
夾が透に対して、隠していた真実。楽羅が透に対して、隠していた想い。
さらに、「神」の母が探し求めていたモノの正体が明らかに…
そして、新たな十二支の絆の崩壊が音も無く始まっていきました…

これまで以上に切ない巻。
草摩の『呪い』の均衡が崩れてゆく……

突然に呪いが解けはじめる者が出てきた十二支たち。
呪いという束縛から解放され、絶対神だった慊人の束縛からも、
次第に離れはじめてゆく。人間関係がほどけ、あるいはこじれてゆく。

そのなかで、透はようやく自分の気持ちをハッキリと自覚する。
それに対し、夾はこれまで抱えていた自らの葛藤をぶちまける。

十二支たちや、孤立感を高める慊人、楝はどうなってゆくのか。
透が現実を、夾をどう受け止めるのか。

物語の大きな収束があるであろう次巻が待たれる。
