本が自由に読めない時代。
メディア良化委員会によって、本を狩られることから本を守るために日々戦う、図書隊。
その図書隊に籍を置く、女性ながら特殊防衛員として働く、笠原郁。
小田原攻防戦を図書隊の勝利で飾り、一段落というところに関東図書基地司令・稲峰司令が拉致された。
足にハンデがある司令を介助していた郁も一緒に…
上司の堂上たち特殊防衛員が救助に向かう。

今巻で原作「図書館戦争」は終わりです。
小田原攻防戦を終え、一段落かと思いきや…郁が巻き込まれてしまいます。
自分の不公正采配を悔やむ、堂上。
二人の掛け合いは読んでいて、どきどきしました。やっぱり面白いです。
今巻で郁の「王子様」が明らかになりました。第一話で分かりやすく描かれていたので、誰か分かっていた方は多いと思いますが。
心の動きが見せ場だけあって、丁寧に描かれていたと思います。
後半は原作「図書館内乱」に入ります。郁の両親が図書隊を訪れたりします。
大きな動きはないものの、描かれていくのが楽しみです。

「小田原攻防戦（後編）」「両親攪乱編（前編）」を収録した第４巻です。
アニメＤＶＤ初回限定版に封入されていたブックレットの内容を彷彿とさせるオリジナルの話もありますので、原作しか読んでいない人にもおススメです。
書き下ろしも沢山入っているので、雑誌で読んだ人にもおススメですよ！

多くの本が「有害図書」の名のもとに狩られる時代。
図書とそれを読む自由を守るために、図書隊は結成された。
ライブラリー・アクション＆ラブコメ、今巻は
原作『図書館戦争』の終わりと『図書館内乱』始まりのお話が収録。

反対団体によって、司令が拉致された。
唯一の女性隊員である郁は司令を守るため、行動を共にした。
事件を聞いた図書隊は、救出に向かう。。。
『図書館戦争』の最終部である前半は、まさにクライマックス。
拉致犯人たちとの争い、堂上教官の回想、二人のラブなど
どきどき満載です♪
郁の「王子さま」の正体も、正式に明かされました☆
……わかってはいたけど、によによしてしまいます。

後半は『図書館内乱』の始まりです。
いつも元気でまっすぐ前を向いている郁の、ご両親との葛藤が描かれています。
ちょっと意外なほど緊張している郁ですが
寮に滞在して郁の仕事ぶりを見学するご両親と
堂上教官とのやりとりも、よかった♪
郁たちと一緒のいつもなら「大人」役の教官も
郁のお父さまとお話している時は、若いなーってかんじ、
プラス郁への愛が見える気がしました。
