春、夏、秋、冬の順で四季を一巡するように構成された短編集で、「花唄流るる」「蛍火の杜へ」「くるくる落ち葉」「ひび、深く」の四編が収録されています。
（それぞれに関連性は特にありません。）
緑川さんの絵は危なげで繊細な感じが作品と不思議にマッチしていると思います。

特に「蛍火の杜へ」では、登場人物のちょっとした表情にはっとさせられ、涙しました。
漫画というジャンルでしか獲得し得ない文章と絵の融合ということが見事になされた作品なのではないでしょうか。

４編の短編からなる短編集です
それぞれ　春　夏　秋　冬　の四季からなるお話です。
私は初めて「緑川 ゆき」先生の作品を読んだのですが、作品に流れる空気が素晴しいと感じました。
特に表題となっている「蛍火の杜へ」と「ひび深く」

この二つの作品は夏と冬のお話なのですが、どちらもそれぞれがもつ季節の雰囲気を上手く表現しいるお話になっています。
その中に、絶対に犯してはいけないタブーを設けている作品で、その葛藤の描写がとても上手いです。
お互いがお互いを求めているのに、その一線を越えてはならない

そのタブーが夏の中に感じる秋を、冬の中に感じる春を見せていて、切なさを上手く表現していて、短編ながら心に残る作品となっています。

緑川ゆき先生といえば、マンガなのにふっと流れる不思議な空気。
そしてどの短編も、たった一話完結なのに心に残ること。
この「蛍火の杜へ」はその中でも特にイイ短編集。

ただダラダラ続くわりに何を伝えたいのか分からない、話が一向に進まないマンガよりも、たった数十ページで読者に最大の衝撃を与えるマンガが、「イイ作品」なのかなー、と考えさせられました。
さて。この中でも私が特に好きなのはまずコミックスのタイトルにもなった「蛍火の杜へ」ですね。

正直緑川先生の作品の中で一番泣けました。ストーリーはノーコメント。とにかく多くの人に勧めたいです。そしてとにかく読んでみて欲しいです。ほんのり優しい恋を読みたい人、そして少し泣きたい人には絶対オススメです。夏が来ると、きっと思い出します・・・。

あと「くるくる落ち葉」。緑川先生の中では珍しくコミカルタッチな話で、元気いっぱいの女の子が、幼なじみの男の子を守るため、自称忍者を目指して奮闘するお話（だいぶ要約・・・）こちらはちょこっと、散歩がてらといった軽い気持ちで読めるお話です。
他の作品も四季折々で、きっとどれかひとつ、心に残ると思います。
