「ハチミツとクローバー」という漫画は、初めて読んだ時に
(春)を連想しました。（出会い）そして(始まり)の季節を。

今回の漫画は、『三月のライオン』というタイトルなのに、
私にとっては、(秋)とか（冬）のイメージなのです。

何故かと言えば、主人公の桐山君が、既に色んな物を失っているから。
彼の心を支えてくれる三姉妹も、大切な人を亡くしています。

でも二巻では、新たな登場人物が関わり、桐山君の感情がよくも悪くも
豊かになっていきます。モノクロの世界が、少しずつ彩られて
いくように、読んでいる人にも伝わるのではないでしょうか。

あと、将棋の世界には全く興味の無い私でしたが、
最近は携帯のゲームで時々遊んでます(^^)。桐山君のライバル(?)
二階堂君の将棋の本は、いつか別売りして欲しいです。

そして、「二階堂君」は、これからどう桐山君に影響を与えるのか?
とても気になります。

将棋好きで猫好きなので、一巻から楽しく読めました。
それに加えて二巻では、敗者が丁寧に描かれていて良かったです。実際の将棋界では中学生棋士はみな大活躍しているので、本書とは少し違う感じかもしれません。けれども、若手にボロボロに負かされるベテランの先生は、だいたい書かれている通りだと思います。負け役の人たちにも背負っているものがあるし、その人たちが負けてしまうのにも理由がある。地味なリアルさに、引き込まれていきました。

いい作品です。１巻に続いて本作品も高品質な仕上がりです。二階堂くんもいい味出しているし、本作では川本家のひなたちゃんにスポットが当たっていていいですね。
さて物語は所謂「勝負の世界」の話になってきています。勝負は当然、勝者がいれば敗者がいます。勝負に対する気持ちの違いもあります。桐山零くんは高校生でその勝負の世界に生きているのです。自分の父親やおじいちゃんくらいの相手と真剣勝負をするのです。そこに起こる葛藤や憤りは並大抵のことではありません。是非是非作品の世界観をのぞいて見てください。明日はちょうど日曜日。朝の10:30〜教育テレビで本作にもでた将棋トーナメントがありますよ。
