作者はグイン・サーガのファンらしい。あの総数100冊を軽く越え今だに続いている大大長編シリーズ小説である。
ベルセルクも100冊越えを目指しているのだろうか?広がり続ける世界観はなかなかとまらないし……。
確かに、構成とかキャラクターの魅力とか作画とか、そこらへんのぬるいSFやファンタジーに比べたらもう他者の追随を許さないレベルまできている。
もうここらへんでそろそろ展開を早くしてもいいんじゃないの?ガッツとグリフィスの運命が暗転する「蝕」篇まではかなりいいテンポで進んでたのに…。
正直、私は戦いのシーンよりも重厚な人間ドラマの方をもっと楽しみたいので、強くなり続けるガッツに最近はついていけない。と言いつつも、今巻もおもしろいけど…。やっぱり好きだなぁと思いつつ、早い展開と終結を期待し続ける私。
あと、グリフィスの出番も少し増やしてほしい!あまりにも出てこなさすぎて淋しいよ。

27〜30あたりまで多少停滞していた物語が動き出します。
今巻は従来より戦闘シーンが多く、相変わらず迫力が有り見ていて飽きを感じさせません。
少なからずイシドロが活躍するので、ちびっこファンな自分にとって嬉しい限りです（笑）
脅威となる敵の魔術師と凶戦士の甲冑を纏ったガッツとの戦いが一番の見所ですね。

性描写や残酷描写も多い漫画ですが、間違いなく日本最高のファンタジー漫画かと思います。
連載が遅く、半年に一度くらいしか新刊が出ないってのが悲しいですけど、
何年掛かったとしてもこの漫画の最終回まで見届けたいと思います。

ガッツの戦い方に新たな展開が見られます。狂戦士の甲冑をガッツ（達）がいかに使いこなしていくか、大きな見所の巻ではないでしょうか。
相変わらずほとんどのページが余白なしで描かれていて本のコバが黒いです。そうする必要がある迫力あるシーンの連続。ただしマニ彦さんはこれまた相変わらずヘタレです（笑）。

惜しむらくは次巻が「2007年春〜夏頃発行予定！」って。・・・長いよ。まだ読んでないけど読んでみようかな、と思っている人は、全巻出揃ってからのほうがいいかも。次を待ち焦がれることになります。ただそれはいつになるやら・・・（溜息）。
