　引きこもりの少年が格闘技（ストリートファイトスタイル）するという異色漫画だが、ドラマ化されたほど流行ったのはやはり、この漫画のもつ二つの哲学性。一つは格闘技の技。パンチ一つでも様々なテクニックや状況検証があり、非常に面白い。基本的に格闘漫画はストーリーと技のコンビネーションに重きを置くが、是ほど基本技の哲学性について深まった漫画は他に無い。パンチ一つで読者を沸かせる漫画は本作以外ないのではないか？また、主人公の内面も深めているところも良い。主人公が強くなっていくと共に明るくなるのが格闘漫画の定番だが、この本では、ひたすら内面を見つめ悩む主人公がいる。その姿勢には共感と共に自分の内面を見たような気恥ずかしさも覚えるがそれは私だけではあるまい。
　さて、今回は大きな見せ場は無いが（それで星４つとした）急展開を見せそうな予感。次号がたのしみだ。

自分はケンカなどをしないので本当にリアルなのかはなんともいえませんが
でもリアルにあると感じさせてくれるマンガです。
だいたいのケンカや格闘マンガはありえない動きなどをしていますが
このマンガはそういう感じではなくリアルさを描いていると思います。

個人的に作者のマンガ内での解説も気きにいってます。

ストリートファイト漫画の雄の最新刊。
深夜枠でドラマ化もされました。

別に今巻がそれほどおもしろいわけではないですが、いい意味でも、悪い意味でも「エヴァンゲリオン」後の作品だなという印象を持ちます。
連載している雑誌が性描写がやたら多い媒体ですが、その中では群を抜いて読ませます。

リアリティーが本当っぽい、というのは何だか言葉遊びのような話になってしまいますが、たとえば「キャプテン翼」は現実ではありえないけど、「はじめの一歩」は微妙なところ。
この「ホーリーランド」は「漫画に決まってるけど、でももしかしたらありえるかも？」と思わせるものがあります。
そこが読ませる秘訣でしょうか。
臨場感があります。
お勧めです。
